You can read a lot about a destination, it’s history, it’s culture, but when you finally get there you realize that most  of what you can learn is so small from the actual experience of being there. 

Robert and I loved Athens!  To me it was a Greek New York City.  A very large metropolis with a diverse environment fill with history, shops, tavernas and  office buildings.  To be able to see the acropolis from the street was amazing!
